Elizabeth came to visit for a week. We didn't have a lot of excitement, but we did manage to get out and explore the Hillwood Estate near Georgetown. Hillwood was owned by Marjorie Merriweather Post. She belongs to the Post cereal family. She had a beautiful home and a large collection of Russian artifacts.
The house is very pretty, but we managed to not take any good pictures of the house or rooms. Here is a shot of one of her Faberge eggs- she has two!
The house was filled with beautiful light, chandeliers and many treasures. It was a fun trip for 3Vaughns and Elizabeth!
