Brock turns the Big 10

Grandad Vaughn and Grandmother Shirley along with Great Grandmother Vaughn and Aunt Susan came up for Brock's 10th Birthday. We all went to Joe's Crab shack for some seafood and came back home to celebrate with presents, cake and singing.

Note the Vaughn family will not be welcome on American Idol based on this display of awful singing in video below:

Soda Science

We tried out placing mentos candies into a 2 liter coke. When mixed with carbonated soda the ingredients of the mentos candies react with the carbonation and shoots out of the bottle about 5 to 7 feet high.

Legionaires disease vs Heat Exaustion

Okay, so when it is 100 degrees in OK would you rather catch Legionnaires disease from old rotted dirty water in the zoo pipes that mists out of the yellow pole above or would you rather take your chance of passing out from heat exhaustion and hitting your head on the cement?

Weed and wave barking

Here she is on the point. We tied her up or she would run away to the road. When she was not pulling up long grass in the water she was barking very loudly. See video for hound doggy water barking

Synchronized swimming

Brock and Grace are in training for the 2016 summer Olympics location to be named later. Their current training site is at Grandpa's log cabin in Zwolle Louisiana. The regimen is very intense. It involves sleeping in late, eating a good breakfast from Grandma Cone and then jumping into the cool lake water and swimming until you are pruney from head to toe. Mirrored moves are critical in this sport and one slight error can be the difference between international gold or washed out Louisiana lake losers. Pictured above Brock's right arm was supposed to be at a 90 degree angle with his hand at ear level and Grace was starting to get a cramp in her hammy. See video below for sample training regimen.

Boating with Ms Daisy

We took Daisy out for her first boat ride. She was very weary of the water and barked a lot at the waves.
Brock comforts the hound.
She ran to the front of the boat when we came up on a pelican on a stump. Thankfully she is scared of the water so she did not jump in.
