Biscuit N Gravy go looking at Art

Children behaving badly on the Art museum elevator.
Children stuck in what looks like an art museum prison.
Cute girly after eating a chocolate pudding.
Sad puppy that is tired and probably in dire need of formal schooling and less snow.Posted by Picasa

Ice Skaters

We walked by the mall and saw some ice skaters in the snow.
Here is a cool looking alumiloy tree.
Posted by PicasaMB liked the Smithsonian castle where Amilia Earhart crashed her plane in Night at the Museum II.

Driftwood horse and TV USA

Here is a driftwood horse
This was a neat display of TVs set into each state and the show on each TV pertained to that state. So OK showed the Oklahoma musical and KS showed Wizard of Oz. Brock got called out from the automatic voice for ITT (Intent To Touch) on the display. That will get a flash light smack to the head bro.

NPG Stuff

National Portrait Gallery stained glass windows are sweet.
They remodeled the 3rd floor of the museum after a fire. Abe Lincoln's Second Inaugural Ball was held in this building!

The King

We went to the gallery specifically to see the Elvis art but it was kind of a let down. There were only a couple of paintings of which a couple were kind of lame. I got this photo right before Brock saw the don't take photo sign.
There was a very nice atrium in the middle of the gallery for folks to sit and have a snack or to just enjoy the building and trees.

IKE LBJ & BEN

Ike looks good in his class As
LBJ said this was the ugliest painting he ever saw
Here is old Ben; my camera kind of made it look fuzzy. This portrait is the basis of the $100 dollar bill.

George

We visited the National Portrait Gallery on President's Day and went to the Presidents section in the gallery.
This is the actual painting that is on the Dollar bill. The artist never finished it for some reason. There is another one of Martha that is unfinished too but she never got her face on any money

Digging Out

This weekend brought a new player to our snow dig out team- back hoe guy! We love back hoe guy! He scraped the entire circle and was able scoop and stack the snow really high. Now we have a clear circle and a 7 foot pile of snow right in front of the house. We of course, gave him cookies for his trouble :)
Sadly, despite all of the work on digging out, the kids will have their 11th snow day tomorrow and a 2 hour delay for Tuesday. Streets are still not ready for buses throughout Fairfax County. We are also expecting 1 to 3 more inches of snow on President's Day. This does not improve our chances of going to school at all on Tuesday.... Pray for us! We are growing tired of entertaining each other!
Love,
