Gracie does basketball drills
Gracie's basketball team met up with a trainer to go over basic skills and some basketball drills. She had a great time- although she is not really the "have the coach yell at you to motivate you" type!
Lego Marines
In the gift shop, there is a huge lego sculpture of the Iwo Jima statue. The kids loved it!
Marine Corps Exhibits
The exhibits in this museum were amazing- probably the most impressive museum we have ever been in. The exhibits were full of information and very life-like.
Marine Corps Museum
We also visited the Marine Corps Museum at Quantico Marine Base with Dan and Alma. This is a beautiful, 3 year old museum with great architecture and amazing exhibits!
These aircraft are in the open air area right as you walk in. Amazing!
View from the Top!
This is the view from the top of the Masonic Memorial. The kids were thrilled to find the outdoor walkway around the very top of the building. You can see the beautiful grounds...
and into the city of Alexandria. Too bad it was cloudy and rainy...otherwise we may have been able to see the Washington Monument in the distance.
Finally, on the way out, we stopped by the auditorium in the lowest level of the building. It is a nice presentation area, but we
were happy to find out that this is the place used for the film National Treasure 2. Fun!
Top Floor of the Memorial
The top floor of the memorial was the smallest and the most beautiful. It has wonderful stained glass on each side and knight's armor.
