Brock tried out for a travel basketball team at the beginning of October. The tryouts were held over a couple of weeks and included kids from all over the Springfield/South County area. All of the boys are 6th graders. On our first night of tryouts, we were surprised to see a kid who looked just like Brock. Same red hair, same build and same familiar towering over the rest of the sixth grade boys.
The other boy is named Tim. They seemed so similar that even the coaches at the practice kept mixing them up.
At the next practice, I tried to get a couple of discreet pictures of the two of them- no need to become the creepy lady who takes pictures of little boys she doesn't know! In the picture above, Brock is on the left wearing a gray t-shirt. That is Twin-Tim on the right.
Since the boys were the same size (Brock wants you to know he is about an inch taller), the coaches matched them up for most of the drills. Here they go down the court....
Both Brock and Tim made the cut. The county plays two teams. They put a tall, redhead on each team. I told Brock to be nice- otherwise we will replace him with a kid who looks just like him!
