Shimoda Mall

No trip to Northern Japan is complete without a trip to Shimoda Mall. It is one of Gracie's favorite places to visit. She likes to visit the shops, see what is playing at the movies and snack at all the food booths.

There is always something going on at the mall. The Saturday we visited with Mom and Dad was busy at the mall. In the center section there was a dance by some local preschool kids.

They danced with fans and with little fake swords. Very cute!

After watching the dancing, we visited the little greenhouse at the end of the mall. The greenhouse is connected to a small floral shop. They always have something interesting blooming. You can wander thru and spend a little time lingering on the benches among the plants.

On this visit, the big yellow fruit looking things seemed to be doing well. None of us had any idea what they are, but they are pretty!

Love,
