Here is a Japanese Tree Porcupine at the Ueno zoo. He was a very large rodent with stiff sharp bristles mingled with hsi brown hair.

Loved sharing these pics with my office personnel- they get all excited seeing Japan and how gorgeous it is. Our 21 year old loved this Porcupine- she just simply could not figure it out! We decided as well- NO PETTING! hahahaha sjv
